6.0 PROCEDURE:
6.1 Washing hand with soap and water (with reference to image, 40-60sec.):
· Step 0- Turn the water tap and then wet your hand and wrists.
· Step 1- Apply enough amount of soap to cover all hand surfaces.
6.2 Washing hands with Alcohol-based hand rubs (with reference to the image, 20-30 sec.):
· Step 1a- Apply the palmful of the product in a cupped hand.
· Step 1b- Cover all surfaces.
6.3 Common Procedure For Both Alcohol-Based Formulation And Soap & Water Hand Washing:
· Step 2- Rub hand palm to palm.
· Step 3- Place right palm over the left drum with interlaced fingers and vice versa.
· Step 4- Rub hand palm to palm with finger interfaced. Be sure to hold the hands in a downward position. Allow the water to run off the hands and into the sink.
· Step 5- Rub back of finger to opposing palms with fingers interlocked.
· Step 6- Using the thumb of one hand, gently rub around the cuticle and nail bed of each finger and thumb of the opposite hand Repeat this step, alternating hands.
· Step 7- Do the rotational rubbing, backward and forwards with clasped fingers of the right hand in left palm and vice versa.
· Step 8a- Lastly in alcohol-based formulation once dry, your hands are safe.
· Step 8b- In case of washing hands with soap rinse the hand under running water, being sure to hold the hands in a downward position.
· Step 9- Use toweling to thoroughly dry the hands when washing hands with soap.
· Step 10- Using the piece of paper towel, turn off the water supply. DO NOT touch the faucet handles with your hands once they have been washed.
8.0 PRECAUTIONS:
8.1 Make sure that hands are properly cleaned.
8.2 Do not leave the faucet/tap on after use.
