4.1. Logging EntryRecord the in and out time in the instrument logbook.

Perform a manual prime if using a different solvent than the previous user.
Ensure the lines are placed in the same solvent reservoir as programmed (preferably ethyl acetate and hexane).
4.6 Preparation: Place all racks in the fraction collector.
Download existing methods or prepare a new method according to your TLC.
Set the detection wavelength based on the UV profile of your compounds (up to two wavelengths).
Specify the amount of solvent to be collected in tubes.
Check for any solvent leakage.
Select the column based on your sample quantity (e.g., a 4 g column for a maximum of 400 mg of sample).
Specify the type of sample loading (solid or liquid).
For solid loading, adsorb your sample on the stationary phase.
Ensure the surrounding area is clutter-free.
4.7. Switch Off Post-Run: Allow the automated flush and purge to complete after the run.
Save your run or transfer its PDF version to a USB drive.
Remove the cartridges and columns.
Turn off the instrument and the main switch.
Sign off in the instrument logbook.
