5.1 Keep the instrument on a level surface without direct sunlight and vibration.
6.0 PROCEDURE
6.1 Definition
A urine analyzer is a device used in the clinical setting to perform automatic urine testing. The units can detect and quantify a number of analytes namely bilirubin, protein, glucose, red blood cells, etc.
6.2 Instrument Details: Erba Mannheim LAURA Version 2
6.3 Turn on the instrument and wait until the self-test is finished.
6.4 Login to your user account.
6.5 Enter the Calibration code of the respective batch of control strips in QC mode first and then run the urine controls URINORM.
6.6 Insert a diagnostic strip dipped in the urine sample, on the movable arm of the instrument.
6.7 Click on the Measurement option and take a print of the result from the Result option.
6.8 After the run is complete, perform the maintenance by rinsing the moving arm and waste container under running water and wiping the conveyor belts inside the instrument. If contaminated with the infected sample, standard disinfectant like 85% alcohol can be used.
6.9 Turn off the instrument.
6.10 Arrange/ schedule preventive maintenance by authorized service provider on a half-yearly basis or as per the requirement and document in the logbook.
