Standard Operating Procedure for Training Needs Identification and Management in Laboratory Animal House

 1.0 Purpose:

The purpose of this Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) is to systematically identify and address the training needs of employees within the Laboratory Animal House.

2.0 Scope:

This SOP aims to ensure the continual enhancement and updating of employee skills across various activities within the laboratory. By doing so, it facilitates the seamless operation of the Animal House at ........ The scope of this SOP encompasses both the operational and managerial aspects of the animal house.




3.0 Responsibility:

All personnel who are adequately trained, including scientists and Quality Assurance Unit (QAU) members familiar with the operation and management of the animal house, are responsible for adhering to the guidelines outlined in this SOP.

4.0 Procedure:

4.1 If the Employee is Newly Appointed:

Upon the appointment of a new employee, their training needs shall be assessed in accordance with this SOP.

4.2 Experience of the Employee in the Specific Field:

The employee's existing experience in their specific field shall be evaluated to identify any gaps in their skillset.

4.3 Development of New Skills:

Any requirements for the development of new skills shall be identified and addressed through appropriate training programs.

4.4 Introduction of New Instruments:
