To lay down the procedure for operation & utilization of U.V
light.

SCOPE
This SOP shall be applicable for operation &
utilization of U.V light in
Microbiology Lab.

RESPONSIBILITY
3.1
Microbiologist
and above shall be responsible for the
preparation and execution of this SOP
3.2
QC & QA Head shall
be responsible for the checking and approval of this SOP.

ACCOUNTABILITY

5.0
PROCEDURE
5.1
Whenever a new U V light is installed, burning hours shall be calculated
as per the given procedure.
5.2
An Identification No. shall be given on U V Light.
5.3 The time of U V light Whenever
switch “ON” and switch “OFF” shall be
note down in logbook.
5.4
Total burning hours of the day and cumulative hours shall be
record.
5.5
When cumulative burning hours reaches
certified value, the U.V light shall be change.
5.6
The U
V light is replaced after a maximum of
300 burning hours.
