SOP FOR ANAEROBIC JAR | STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURE FOR OPERATION OF ANAEROBIC JAR

1.0 OBJECTIVE

1.1 To lay down a procedure for handling and operation, of Anaerobic jar.

2.1 This procedure applies to the Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Facility of Company Name

5.0 PROCEDURE

5.1 PRELIMINARY CHECKS :

5.1.1 Check and ensure that the anaerobic jar is clean and suitable for starting the

operation. If not, clean with a soft cloth duster.

5.2 OPERATION :

5.2.1 Open the clamp of the Anaerobic jar.

5.2.2 Place the petri plates/glassware to be incubated in the jar.

5.2.3 Remove the paper sachet from the foil bag of the HiAnaeroGas Pack. Do not open the paper sachet.

5.2.4 Immediately place the paper sachet and add the Hi Anaero indicator tablet into the anaerobic jar and clamp the jar lid.

5.2.5 Incubate the jar at the required temperature for the required time period.

5.2.6 The pink color of the indicator tablet indicates anaerobic conditions.

5.3 NOTES

5.3.1 Clean the jar after use with detergent and warm water.

5.3.2 Discard the sachet with care.

5.3.3 Do not throw the sachet with combustibles.
