1.0 OBJECTIVE: To design a Standard Operating Procedure that describes the procedure for Visitor and Employee Entry in Animal House.
2.0 RESPONSIBILITY: It is the responsibility of Animals Care Personals and Animal House In-charge.
3.0 PROCEDURE:
3.1 In respect to the employees-
3.1.1 Allow every Technical and non-technical staff of animal house to enter inside animal house through the entry gate.
3.1.2 Written record of the shifts of the technical and non-technical staff should be kept.
3.2 In respect to the visitors-
3.2.1 The vehicle was stopped at the main gate and an enquiry is done for the purpose of the visit.
3.2.2 Visitor’s pass and badge for identification was issued after making an entry in the Visitor’s entry register having the details (Serial No., Date, time, name, address, purpose of the visit, person to be contacted and visitor signature).
3.2.3 Visitors like services engineers were made to visit the concerned area.
3.2.4 The visitors who happen to be official guest were allowed inside and were accompanied by Director. Immediate communication to the Plant Head was made.
4.0 SPECIAL ISTRUCTIONS:
4.1 Maintain the records like gate passes of incoming/outgoing person & material and any other records introduced from time to time.
4.2 Keep constant vigilance on all activities “in and around” the laboratory animal house premises.
