1.1 To lay down the procedure for Resignation in the Manufacturing Unit of Pharmaceuticals.
2.0 SCOPE
2.1 This process shall be applicable to the procedure of resignation at the Manufacturing Unit.
3.0 RESPONSIBILITY
4.1 The HROfficer and above shall be responsible for the preparation & execution of this SOP.
4.2 HR and QA shall be responsible for the review of this SOP.
4.3 The HR Head and QA Head shall be responsible for ensuring compliance with the procedure and implementation of this SOP respectively.

5.1 Definitions

6.0 PROCEDURE
6.1 When a confirmed or permanent employee resigns from a position in the Manufacturing Unit, he/she shall submit a resignation letter.
6.2 Resignation letter shall be approved by his/her HOD.
6.3 The Concerned HOD shall forward the resignation to HRD for further formalities.
6.4 The resigning employee shall abide by the notice period as finalized by the respective HOD.
6.5 The notice period shall start from the date of approval and acceptance of the resignation by the HOD and HRD.
6.6 In case of any unusual incidences, the notice period can be waived with the approval of HRD.
6.7 If an employee leaves the Manufacturing Unit without completing his/her notice period, then he/she shall be liable to pay the amount according to his/her per day salary for the remaining notice period.
6.8 HRD & concerned HOD shall ensure that all the manufacturing-related property shall be retrieved from the employee on or before the last day of work.
6.9 The employee shall fill and submit an Exit Interview Form before leaving the organization as per Format-I.
6.10 The employees coming under the Training Period or Probationary Period shall be terminated at any time, by giving 1 week's notice.
6.11 Likewise, if a confirmed or permanent employee retires from a position in the Manufacturing Unit, he/she shall also submit a resignation letter.
