STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURE CLEANING,OPERATION & CALIBRATION OF DIGITAL SCUFF TESTER APPARATUS

 1.0           OBJECTIVE

             To lay down the procedure for operation of Digital Scuff Tester apparatus.

2.0              SCOPE

 This SOP shall be applicable to the Digital Scuff Tester apparatus used in QC Dept.

3.0              RESPONSIBILITY

3.1      Sr. Analyst (Packaging material) QC and above shall be responsible for the preparation and execution of this SOP.

3.2             Head QC & QA shall be responsible for the checking and approval of this SOP.

5.0              PROCEDURE

5.1              Cleaning

5.1.1    Ensure that the power supply to the Digital Scuff Tester apparatus is switched ‘OFF’ before cleaning and the plug should be removed from the socket.

5.1.2        Digital Scuff Tester apparatus should be placed on a clean table/platform.

5.1.3     Platform of Digital Scuff Tester apparatus wipe off with dry lint-free cloth on a daily basis so that there will be no dust particles on the Digital Scuff Tester apparatus.

5.2              Operation

5.2.1        Ensure that the power supply switch is “ON” of Digital Scuff Tester apparatus.

5.2.2        Check the calibration of revolution speed 60 RPM.

5.2.3        Cut perfect pieces of the sample such as diaphragm size.

5.2.4        Ensure that the fixed sample of diaphragm printed the side is face to face by double adhesive tape.

5.2.5        The 2Psi weight on the top of the movable disc.

5.2.6        Ensure the set of revolution counter by pressing up and down key as per our specification.

5.2.7        Press on the start button.

5.2.8         Note down the revolution time.

5.2.9        Remove the specimen or forward material for new measurements.

5.2.10    The instrument Toggle switch should be “OFF”.

5.2.11    The mains Switch should be “OFF”.

5.2.12    Calibration Procedure

Calibration of Digital Scuff Tester apparatus shall be done by external party on annual frequency.
