To lay down the procedure for General Cleaning in the Production Unit.
2.0 SCOPE
2.1 This process shall be applicable for General Cleaning at the Production Unit.
3.0 RESPONSIBILITY.
3.1 HR Officer and above shall be responsible for the preparation & execution of this SOP.
3.2 HR and QA shall be responsible for the review of this SOP.
3.3 HR Head and QA Head shall be responsible to ensure the compliance of the procedure and implementation of this SOP respectively.

5.1.1 Definitions: - General Cleaning – from washing walls, washing ceilings, cleaning windows, scrubbing and mopping floors, and detailed cleaning of kitchens, bathrooms, and working areas.

7.0 PROCEDURE
7.1 Cleaning of Urinal, Lavatory & Wash Basin.
7.1.1 Cleaning of toilets shall be done firstly with tap water.
7.1.2 The water shall be shacked and sprinkled around the floor and also the side of the toilet pan.
7.1.3 Keep it for 10 minutes, after that floor and toilet pan shall be washed with plenty of water.
7.1.4 Cleaning of Toilet shall be done every day three times. Cleaning of Toilet with Harpic. shall be done every day.
7.1.5 End of the week Bleaching Powder shall be sprinkled in every corner of the toilet and allowed to stay for Monday morning, then cleaned with sufficient water.
7.1.6 Cleaning of Wash Basins, Urinals & Lavatory shall be done firstly with tap water, and then rubbed with a brush containing detergent water, finally rinsed with tap water.
7.1.7 Cleaning of Wash Basins, Urinals & Lavatory shall be done every day in the morning.
7.2 Cleaning of Walls, Floor, Corridors, windows, Furniture & Ceilings
7.2.1 The floor of the production area, should be cleaned thrice a day, once before starting production activity, first half of the shift and the other in the second half of the shift.
7.2.3 Walls, Doors, windows,s, and Furniture shall be de-dusted with a clean cloth and mopped with disinfectant solution70% IPA every day.
7.2.4 Ceilings shall be cleaned by a dry mop fitted on a wooden stick.
7.2.5 Fans and Switchboards shall be de-dusted and clean with a dry cotton cloth.
7.3 Cleaning of RO Purifiers
7.3.1 Feed water shall be removed from the purifier before starting the cleaning.
7.3.2 Water that is used for the cleaning shall be purified and the cleaning agent should be dissolved and mixed in it.
7.3.3 Then cleaning water shall be soaked into membranes and after sometimes pumped out from the system.
7.3.4 System shall be rinsed again and again until cleaning water is removed and samples shall be analyzed which is free from contamination and permeate quality is satisfactory.
7.3.5 For rinsing, clean or purified water shall be used.
7.3.6 Frequency for the cleaning of RO purifiers shall be once a week.
7.4 Cleaning Records and Disinfectant Issue Records shall be filled in Formats duly filled & signed by the concerned Dept. /Section

7.2.2 Each time floor should be first swiped thoroughly with a nylon broom and then wash with Detergent and then clean with 3.0% solution of Dettol, 3.0% solution of Benzyl Septol, or 0.5 % solution of Germitol in DM water in alternate weeks. Cleaning should be done with non-fiber lint-free mops in the following manner.
7.2.3 Walls, Doors, windows,s, and Furniture shall be de-dusted with a clean cloth and mopped with disinfectant solution70% IPA every day.
7.2.4 Ceilings shall be cleaned by a dry mop fitted on a wooden stick.
7.2.5 Fans and Switchboards shall be de-dusted and clean with a dry cotton cloth.
7.3 Cleaning of RO Purifiers
