1. Objective: To lay down the procedure for the operation of the UV spectrophotometer.
2. Responsibility: It is the responsibility of the Technical Assistant, Technical Manager, Quality Manager, and all those individuals who are working on the instrument.

Procedure:
· Enter
in the log book (in and out time).
· Switch
on the machine and connected the computer.
· Stand
by the machine for 15 minutes.
· Open
the UV software on the computer.
· Open the new file and described the method according to the operation.
· Put
the sample and noted the absorbance of the given sample
· Plot
the graph between absorbance and concentration.
· Save
the file in any window.
· Close
the software interface window.
· Switch off the UV machine and computer.

Precautions:
· Always
stand by the system for 10-15 minutes for proper measurement.
· Use a clean cuvette for a precise result.
· Clean
the cuvette and area after use.
· Machine
should be attached with UPS for durability.
