What are the different curves for agonist, antagonist and partial agonist in details?

Different curves for agonist, antagonist, and partial agonist

Drug Efficacy by Curve

1. Agoint shows the full effect
2. Partial Agonist shows lesser effect than the full agonist
3. antagonist: mainly occupies the receptor area and neutralizes the effect of agonist
4. Inverse agonist: reverse the full effect of agonist eg: Flumazenil in case of benzodiazepine poisoning.

Flumazenil in case of benzodiazepin poisoning.

Generally, barbiturates directly cause an effect on beta sub-units of GABA receptors and open the complete chlorine channel. while benzodiazepine (diazepam) works on gama sub-units of the GABA receptor causing an increased frequency of cl influx than normal.  Due to the influx of Cl in neuronal cells, it causes hyperpolarization, and the person starts sleeping, within 3-5 minutes if flumazenil is given, it reverses the effect of benzodiazepine partially blocking the effect of the Cl channel.

Solve the following puzzles

1. Which one is the most potent drug?
2. Which one is a partial agonist drug?
3. What role is C in this chart?
4. What is the role of D in this chart?

Answer 1:is A is most potent
2: B is a partial agonist
3. C is a competitive antagonist (weak interaction with a receptor)
4. In the case of D it shows delayed action than A, C but it reaches its peak same time as C.
