Useful Tips and Remedies for Relieving Constipation



Constipation is defined with different types:-

1. Hard motion

2. No complete motion (feeling of something remain in stomach)

3. Forced motions

4. Acute constipation is sudden and it lasts for one week or more. It's usually caused by dehydration, high medication, blockage, prolonged activity, a long journey, or missing a bowel movement.







Sign and Symptoms

The missing to have a bowel movement for several days or dry stools, passing hard.

Abdominal bloating, cramps or pain.

Decreased appetite.

Lethargy.

These all come under constipation. This is caused by food and lifestyle changes. Types of food like junk, oily, and less fiber cause constipation. We need to take more fiber-rich foods regularly, fiber is rich in leaf vegetables, all vegetables and consuming raw vegetables in form of salads, cucumber, carrot, beetroot, and tomato regularly.

Taking one fruit daily and chewing it well in eating also an important solution. Actually, somebody eats fast by lack of time this is also one problem. Good water intake means 8 glasses or 2 to 3 liters of water.

Good exercise. We are not able to do with busy schedules this also one problem. The movements are good in entrails with exercise and good for constipation. These are common suggestions to clear constipation. One more problem comes in form of the western commode, the Indian commode is the best for constipation. Make height arrangement under feet in using western commode to overcome constipation, this is a tip.

Home remedies for constipation.


1. Rise water intake about 8-10 glasses or 2 to 3 liters.

2. Increase food dietary fibers (present in wheat bran, whole grains, vegetables, oat bran, barley, nuts, seeds, beans, lentils, and peas etc.)

3. Citrus fruits: Oranges, Lemon and Sweet lime may help some people relieve constipation.

4. Daily exercise may reduce all type of constipation in some people (Cycling, Swimming, or regular jogging walking 4-5 km).

5. Caffeinated drinks can help relieve constipation by stimulating the muscles in the gut. It may also contain small amounts of soluble fiber that helps to relive constipation.

6. Senna leaves (Herbal laxative is a popular remedy for constipation. It stimulates bowel movements.

7. Probiotics may help to treat constipation (yogurt, kimchi, sauerkraut, miso and kefir).

8. Foods that contain prebiotic fibers can improve digestive health and the balance of beneficial gut bacteria. Prebiotics may help relieve constipation. (Garlic, onions bananas, chickpeas, etc.).

9. Antacids: Magnesium citrate, an OTC product, can help relieve constipation.

10. Prunes have a laxative effect. Prunes can very effectively relieve constipation.

11. Lactose intolerance may cause constipation in many people. In these people, avoiding dairy from the diet can help relieve symptoms.

12. Ayurveda Formulations examples are Triphala Churna, Milk and Ghee, Bhael Pulp, Roasted funnel, Licorice roots.

13. Keep a constant schedule of body routines of bathroom.

14. Use coconut oil in food help to relive constipation.
