1. Purpose: To define a system in the organization to maintain good housekeeping, accommodation, and environmental condition.
2. Scope: This procedure is applicable to all activities affecting the laboratory management system.3. Responsibility: Technical Manager is responsible to implement this procedure.
4. Procedure:
4.1 Laboratory is cleaned daily basis.
4.2 All records, samples, and reagents are stored in almirahs/racks so as to ensure their integrity. Almirahs/racks are cleaned daily.
4.3 The laboratory equipment is cleaned with a dry cloth on regular basis.
4.4 Samples, reagents, and standards are stored so as to ensure their integrity. The laboratory guards them against deterioration, contamination, and loss of identity.
4.5 The laboratory is maintained the environmental conditions i.e. Temperature & Humidity required for particular tests. Temperature and Humidity are measured on daily basis and a record of the same is maintained.
4.6 The PTL has ensured laboratory security and maintains a list of staff to permit access to various areas of the laboratory.
